While visiting the beautiful island of Lana’i last year we struck up a conversation with resident Kathy Carroll. She asked us if we had been out to visit the Lana’i Animal Rescue Center, the shelter she founded in 2008. When she continued to describe the open-air shelter we knew that would be our next stop. Long story short, we had an incredible time petting the hundreds of friendly cats who call the rescue center home while waiting to hopefully be adopted.
After being there for less than a minute we knew we wanted to go back and make a little film about the cats at the LARC. So… a few weeks ago we hopped on the Ferry and headed back to Lana’i to film. Once again we had a great time visiting all the cats but this time we had all our camera gear with us!
The dedicated staff and volunteers work hard to provide a good home for over 370 cats. I hope our little video helps some cats find loving homes.
